100 Hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in Goa

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training

Astanga vinyasa is an ancient yoga practice, over a thousand years back first taught by Vamana Rishi. It is a dynamic practice that uses asana, vinyasa, breath, gazing points, and bandhas to create a flow in the practice. The practitioner moves with the breath through a series of asanas with full awareness and concentration. The demands of the practice are such that one can not afford to be lax in awareness and concentration. The heat generated through the practice causes a lot of sweating removing toxins from the body.

This is an excellent practice for improving flexibility and strength. Ashtanga primary series is also called yoga chikitsa (yoga therapy) due to its detoxifying effect of body, breath and the mind. The movement happens with counted breaths and the counting is done in traditional Sanskrit language. This is a unique advance level practice that few Yoga teachers teach the world over. Very few Yoga schools offer teacher training in traditional Ashtanga practice.
